Volleyball opens 1-2

The volleyball squad got the fall sports season going at home last Tuesday, going 1-2 in the quadrangular against three GWAC opponents.
They beat Ulysses in two games but fell to Colby and Holcomb in three.
The Broncs took out Ulysses 25-19 and 25-15.
Jara Davidson led the team with eight kills and Cadence Brown had six.
Jordan McCombs had six assists and nine digs, as well as 20 assists.
Lakin lost a close match against Colby, losing 25-19, 21-25 and 19-25.
Grace Ostberg and Davidson both had eight kills.
Moriah Ortiz had two serving aces, and Kenzie Lohman-Fuller had 17 assists, with McCombs adding nine.
Lakin fell to Holcomb 23-25, 25-14, and 13-25.
Davidson had nine kills and Samantha Vogel added eight.
Lohman-Fuller had 15 assists and McCombs had 10, as well as 10 digs.
The JV girls went 3-0, defeating all three of the GWAC teams.
The girls are in action twice this week, Tuesday at home in league matchups (both varsity and JV) and Thursday in Dodge City (varsity only).
