Cross country competes at Greeley County

The cross country teams ran in their second competition of the season Saturday in Tribune.
Austin Ritsema won the varsity boys race, clocking in at 16:57.23, beating out two Garden City runners.
Alex Luce finished fourth, running 17:22.34.
Garden City won the meet with 27 points, followed by Scott City (57) and Lakin (60).
Zael Bermudez finished 18th (19:33.59), and Justin Leader placed 20th (19:41.58).
Other Bronc runners were Gabe Cox (27), Blake Matthews (28), and Eric Munson (33).
The Lakin girls placed fifth, scoring 95 points. Scott City and Garden City tied for first with 44 points, with Scott City winning the team tiebreaker.
Emma Miller led the Broncs with a 13th-place finish (23:45.27).
Ivy Davis finished 22nd (26:18.84).
Other Bronc runners were Luna Vazquez (24), Abby Homes (25), Kayleen Tanner (30) and Odaliz Garcia (32).
For the JV girls, Atalissa Bradford placed seventh, Shillelagh Kentner eighth, and Addison Grusing 10th.
For the JV boys, Vicente Davis finished seventh, Camden Bergkamp 12th, Brennen Bless 15th, and Owen Ostberg 21st.
Other runners were Salvador Bermudez (24), Chris Ortiz (25), Blake Walker (27), and Kade Hartman (31).
Next up is a meet Saturday in Hugoton.
