Swimmers compete again

Lakin’s two swim team members competed for the combined Holcomb team Tuesday at a meet in Butler.

Holcomb finished sixth with 220.5 points. Great Bend won the meet with 424 points in the nine-team meet.

Kinzie Berning-Lohman-fuller and Marieke Van Der Knapp swam legs of the 200-yard medley relay, and both were part of two separate 200-yard freestyle relay teams.

Van Der Knaap raced a leg on a 400-yard freestyle relay, while Berning-Lohman-Fuller was a leg on the 100-yard freestyle relay.

Both Lakin swimmers also competed in the 100-yard break stroke.
