Golfers tie for title in Syracuse

The golf team continued its successful season April 30 in Syracuse.

The boys tied for the team title with Syracuse, but lost in a tiebreaker.

The team has now finished first four times, placed second twice, and tied for first with this meet.

Both teams scored 339 strokes in the 12-team event. Elkhart placed third with 353.

Kevin Tanner led the Broncs with an 82 to finish third. The winning score was a 77 by Bodie Higgins of Elkhart, followed by a 79 by Jarrett Scott of Syracuse.

Noah Garcia and Maddux Beltran both shot an 85 to place fifth and sixth.

Brayson Hoover carded an 87 to finish eighth.

This marked the first time in Coach David Richter’s career to have four golfers finish in the top 10.
