Boys first, girls second at home meet

The boys won their home meet Friday and the girls finished second.
The boys scored 173 points to outdistance Scott City’s 137 in the 12-team field.
The girls finished with 108 points. Larned led the 10-team field with 115 points.
Boys
Three boys claimed double gold in leading the Broncs to the team title.
Colter Oldham won the shot put, going 59-9.5. He also won the discus, throwing 161-11.
Ross Rider was a double winner, claiming the long jump (21-2.5) and the triple jump (44-1).
Alex Luce won the 800 meters in 2:03.70 and took the 3200 meters (10:30.93).
Austin Ritsema won the high jump, clearing 6-3. He finished second in the 1600 meters.
Tyelor Holloway won the 110-meter hurdles (15.12 seconds) and was second in the 300-meter hurdles.
Maddux Beltran finished second in the 100-meter dash and third in the 200-meters.
Javion Granado cleared 13-0 to place second in the pole vault.
Lakin finished second in all three relays.
Girls
The girls had five champions.
Amari Esquibel won the 100-meter dash in 12.88 seconds and the 200-meter dash in 26.76.
Alyssa Edgington won the pole vault, clearing 10-7. She won the long jump, going 17-8.25.
Aryn Michaelis won the high jump, clearing 5-2. She finished second in the 300-meter hurdles and third in the 100-meter hurdles.
Emma Miller placed second in the 3200 meters and third in the 1600.
Lakin’s girls finished second in the 4x400 relay, third in the 4x800 and fifth in the 4x100.
