Broncs fall to Hoisington

The Broncs traveled to Hoisington Friday for a district football game but fell 48-31.
The Cardinals used a 22-point third quarter to break open what had been a close game at halftime, with Lakin trailing just 20-17.
Timmy Johnson had a huge night, scoring three touchdowns on just three receptions. Johnson scored on a 5-yarder and from 27 yards in the second quarter and a 60-yard play in the fourth.
Dru Patterson completed 9-of-17 passing for 195 yards, including those three scoring strikes.
Ross Rider scored on a 54-yard run in the third quarter. He had 119 yards on 13 carries.
Colter Oldham led the team with 13 tackles. Eli Bemis had one fumble recovery.
Hoisington (2-4) moved to 2-0 in district play. Lakin (4-2) fell to 2-1 in district play.
The Broncs travel to Colby this Friday and will host Larned Oct. 25 for the final district game.
