Broncs take down Colby

The football team picked up another win Friday at Colby, defeating the Eagles 22-14.
Ross Rider took an interception back 55 yards in the first quarter.
Colter Oldham scored from four yards in the third to give Lakin a 16-6 lead, and Weston Loeppke scored on another interception to give the Broncs a 22-6 lead to end the quarter.
Oldham had 193 yards on 37 carries. He also had eight tackles. Eli bemis had five tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss.
The Broncs rushed for 223 yards and attained 11 first downs. Lakin had no turnovers.
Colby had 245 total yards (141 passing, 104 rushing) but their two turnovers resulted in Lakin scores.
Lakin improved to 5-2 overall and 2-1 in district play. They host Larned Friday on senior night.
