Football season ends in Week 9

The football season ended Friday in the Week 9 playoff bracket as the Broncs fell to Halstead at home, 36-6.
Lakin (6-3) was the sixth seed in the western half of the bracket, while Halstead (4-5) was seeded 11th.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Dragons got on the board three times with a rushing touchdown, a field goal and a safety to take a 12-0 halftime lead.
Lakin got on the board in the third with a Colter Oldham 33-yard touchdown run, but Halstead added a field goal to make it 15-12 after three.
Halstead broke open the game in the fourth when they scored on a 91-yard run, followed by rushing touchdowns of 27 yards and one yard.
Halstead outgained Lakin 369 yards to 200, with 331 of those on the ground.
Both teams had one interception, and the Broncs were flagged six times for 70 yards while Halstead had three penalties for 25 yards.
Oldham led the Broncs with 140 yards on 25 carries.
Ross Ryder had two receptions for 24 yards.
Oldham led the team with 12 tackles.
