Jena Oldham - Teacher Spotlight
Job Title: 6th Grade Math and STEM teacher
A little about Mrs. Oldham: Born and raised in Walsh, Colorado. Graduated from Southwestern College in 2000. Taught 8th grade ELA for 8 years in Leoti and have been teaching in Lakin for 17 years now. Married to Brent for 20 years and have two children. Colter who is a senior and Taegan who is a freshman. My favorite food is anything Mexican.
What I enjoy most about Teaching: I enjoy building relationships with kids and seeing them grow and learn. I like that no day is exactly the same and the unpredictability of young students is a challenge!
Favorite Activity: Spending time with my family and watching my kids' activities.
Favorite Quote: "Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more that others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is wise, and expecting more that others think is possible."
