Boys get two wins
After having their 10-game winning streak snapped at home last Tuesday to Holcomb, the boys basketball team rebounded in a big way, picking up relatively easy wins on Friday and Saturday.
On Friday, the Broncs traveled to Wichita County, winning 68-50.
The Broncs led 22-8 after one quarter and 34-28 at halftime, but a 21-10 third period helped put the game out of reach.
Lakin hit 27 shots (11 three-pointers) and made 11 of 12 free throws.
Hunter Davis led the scoring with 19 points, while Jace Bachman had 15, all on 3-pointers.
Sonnie Altman had 11 and Dom Daniels 10
Saturday, the Broncs trailed early against Wiley, Colo., but an 18-4 run to close the opening quarter propelled them to a 76-40 win on homecoming night.
Lakin hit 16 treys, led by Bachman's seven as he led the team with 21 points.
Altman had 18 points and Daivs 15.
