Catelyn Manly - Teacher Spotlight
Job Title: Math Teacher
A Little Bit about Mrs. Manly: I was born and raised in Lakin. I got my Bachelor's of Science in Math in person from FHSU and my Master's of Science in Special Education - Gifted virtually from FHSU. I started my teaching career at Chaparral. I am the National Honor Society sponsor and the Scholars Bowl coach. I teach Geometry, Algebra 2, Calculus, and Physics. I try to make math fun for students, but honestly, I think it's all fun. So, I don't really see what you're not enjoying about it! : )
During my free time, I like spending time with my family and reading. My brothers and cousins have kids who are fun to be around. We like sports, playing games, going fishing and cheering for the Broncos!
Years in Education: This is my 16th year teaching (13th in Lakin).
What I like about Teaching: I like when students tell me about math they have figured out. This can be from something I have been teaching them or new things they have discovered from TikTok.
Favorite Teaching Memories: My favorite memories are from when my students make me laugh.
