Oldham scores 1000th point in win over Elkhart

Colter Oldham joined an exclusive group of Broncs players, scoring his 1000th career point in a 73-43 win over Elkhart at home Tuesday.

The senior, who entered the game just nine points shy of the mark, hit his milestone mark with an inside shot late in the first half.

Lakin led 20-8 after the opening quarter and 41-26 at halftime. They outscored the Wildcats 32-17 in the second half.

The Broncs (11-1) won their ninth straight game, shooting 48 percent for the floor, including 21 of 29 from inside the arc.

The Broncs scored 20 points off 21 Elkhart turnovers turnovers, and they dominated 38-24 on rebounds.

Dru Patterson led the team with 17 points, which included five 3-pointers.

Nico Doume had 16 points and Oldham 15.

Austin Ritsema led the team with eight rebounds, Doume had four assists, and Patterson had five steals.
