Wrestlers complete busy weekend

The wrestling program had a busy weekend with groups in Hoisington, Larned and Garden City.
Friday @ Hoisington (boys)
Alex Luce was the high finisher for the boys, placing second at 126 pounds. He went 3-1 with one fall.
Camden Bergkamp placed third at 157, going 3-2, winning twice by fall, including in his third place match (5:09).
Owen Ostberg also placed third at 175, going 3-2 with all three wins by fall, including his third place match (:22).
Zael Bermudez placed fourth at 120, finishing 2-3.
Timmy Johnson placed fourth at 190 pounds, going 3-2, with all three wins by fall.
Remey Perez placed fifth at 144, going 3-2, including a fall (1:32) in his medal match.
Cole Waechter placed sixth at 138.
Friday @ Hoisington (girls)
Miley Roth won three matches by fall at 130 pounds. Those were pins in 1:31, 2:00 and 2:59. She finished fourth with a 3-2 record.
Saturday @ Larned (JV boys)
Remey Perez placed second at 144 pounds. He went 3-1, getting a fall in all three of his wins, (1:38, :38, 2:11).
Friday/Saturday @ Garden City (girls)
Luna Vazquez wrestled at the fourth annual Rocky Welton girls tournament at Garden City High School.
Vazquez won her first round by a 12-9 decision but lost by technical fall in the quarterfinals.
She won her consolation match by technical fall (17-1) before losing her next match by tech fall to a wrestler from Goddard.
Vazquez is currently 27-10 for the season.
