Girls rebound with win over Elkhart

After a three-game losing streak, the girls got back on track Friday with a 67-30 win at Elkhart, the third time the Broncs have defeated the Wildcats this season.
Lakin dominated the first period, taking a 27-3 lead into the second. The dominance included a 21-1 start.
The Broncs led 42-13 at halftime and 55-24 after three quarters.
Lakin shot 41 percent (24 of 61) from the floor, holding Elkhart to just 19 percent (8 of 43).
The Broncs out rebounded Elkhart 43-28 and outscored them 27-11 on points off turnovers.
Four girls scored in double figures, led by Lileah Villa with 17. Jordan McCombs had 12, Aryn Michaelis 11 and Maleigha Budd 10.
Budd had 11 rebounds, McCombs had four assists and Taegan Oldham had four steals.
