Wrestling season ends in regional

The boys wrestling season came to an end Saturday at the Class 3-2-1A regional tournament in Cimarron.
At 120 pounds, Zael Bermudez lost his first round by fall (:47), won his first consolation match by a 15-0 technical fall, but lost his final match in a 10-0 major decision.
At 138, Jesse Lancaster received a first-round bye but lost his quarterfinal match by fall (3:00). He won his consolation match by fall (:52) before losing a 5-3 decision in his next round.
Remey Perez (144 pounds) won his first round by fall (2:30) but lost his quarterfinal match by technical fall (18-1) and his consolation round by fall (:49).
At 157, Camden Bergkamp received a bye in his first round before losing by fall (:16) in the quarterfinal round. He won a 5-4 decision in the consolation round before losing by fall (1:45).
At 165, Weston Loeppke received a first-round bye before losing by fall (1:37) in the quarterfinals. He won by technical fall (16-1) in his first consolation match before losing by fall(1:18) in the next round.
Timmy Johnson (190 pounds) won his first round by fall (1:57) before losing a 16-8 major decision in the quarterfinals. He had a bye in his first consolation match and won a 16-0 technical fall in the next round before losing by fall (:42) in the consolation semifinal.
Bermudez finished the season 13-22, Lancaster 21-14, Perez 18-18, Bergkamp 20-20, Loepppke 12-16, and Johnson 22-13.
