Girls season comes to end

The high school girls basketball season came to and end last Thursday with a 60-38 quarterfinal substate loss at Beloit.
Down just 13-8 after one quarter, Lakin shooting went on hiatus as they were outscored 13-2.
Scoring woes continued in the third with Beloit doubling up the Broncs 46-23.
Beloit hit for 47 percent from the field while Lakin managed 30 percent (14 of 45 inside the arc and 2 of 9 from 3-point range).
Beloit outscored the Broncs in the paint 40-22 and 16-7 off turnovers, while Lakin outscored Beloit 10-9 on second-chance points.
Lakin out rebounded Beloit 35-34.
Aryn Michaelis led the Broncs with 25 points, including a pair of 3-pointers.
She also had 16 rebounds.
Jordan McCombs had six assists and Lileah Villa had two steals.
The Broncs end the season with a 10-11 record.
