Lifters compete in league power meet

The high school weightlifting teams competed at Southwestern Heights Saturday in the 2025 HPL Powerlifting meet.
The boys placed third of six teams with 295 points. Wichita County won with 355 and Heights was second with 321.
The girls were third with 80 points behind Heights (356) and Sublette (192).
Vinnie Bocanegra finished first overall at 132 pounds, winning the clean (200 pounds), squat (280), and bench (175).
Dru Patterson was third overall at 148 pounds, with his top result a second place at squat (270).
Armando Salcido won the 156-pound overall title. He won the bench (205) and squat (335) and finished second in clean (205).
At 198 pounds, Timmy Johnson finished third overall. He won the clean (265) and placed third in bench (215).
Colter Oldham finished second overall at 220 pounds. He was second in clean (295) and squat (405).
Grant Mendenhall was second and Dane White fourth at 242 pounds.
Mendenhall was second in bench (205) and clean (235). White was third in bench (175).
Lileah Villa was third at 132 pounds. She won the squat (235).
Paityn Ansel was fourth at 148 pounds. She finished second in clean (110).
Moriah Ortiz won the PWT overall title. She won the clean (145) and bench (150), and she was second in squat (245).
