Boys dominate in Stanton County

The boys track team dominated the field in Stanton County Tuesday, taking the team title with 149 points.

Cimarron was second with 86 points in the 12-team field.

Colter Oldham was a double winner in the field. The senior set a school record in the shot put, throwing 59-9.75.

He also won the discus, throwing 169-5, over 15 feet farther than second place.

Tyelor Holloway was a double winner, as well. The senior won the 100-meter dash (11.47 seconds) and 200-meter dash (23.23).

Quincy Esquibel won the triple jump, going 41-6.25, just ahead of Ross Rider (41-5.5).

In the long jump, Rider was second (20-8), Esquibel third (19-8.75), and Aydyn Holloway sixth (18-8.5).

Rider finished second in the 200-meter dash (23.51).

Jesse Lancaster won the pole vault, clearing 11-6. Cade Berning was sixth (9-6).

Austin Ritsema won the 3200-meter run in 10:28.65. He finished fifth in the 400-meter dash (54.43).

Timmy Johnson finished fourth in the 110-meter hurdles (19.38 seconds) and in the 300-meter hurdles (46.06).

Lucas McCombs finished fourth in the javelin (126-9) and Adan Vazquez was sixth in the 800-meter run (2:15.42). Zael Bermudez placed fifth in the 3200 meters (12:04.91).

Lakin won all three relays.

In the 4x100 meters, the team of Johnson, Tyelor Holloway, Esquibel and Rider ran 43.67 seconds.

In the 4x400 meters, the team of Aydyn Holloway, Esquibel, Tyelor Holloway and Johnson ran 3:41.83.

In the 4x800, the team of Camden Bergkamp, Ritsema, Vazquez, and Bermudez ran 8:56.52.
