Lakin's cross country team held their annual home invitational last Saturday.
The boys team placed third, losing to Guymon, who placed first and Stanton County.
Lawson Beymer placed second running a 17:01 and Edwin Garcia ran a 17:23, placing fourth.
Dom Daniels placed 20th to give the Broncs three in the medals.
The varsity girls took home sixth place.
Jordan Ortiz led the team, finishing ninth with a 21:51, the only girl to place in the top-20.
In the JV race Pablo Arreola ran a 21:56, which earned him 20th place.
Leo Shelden followed close behind, placing 22nd with a time of 22:06.
The cross country team will be back in action for their league meet on Thursday in Southwestern Heights.
Lakin hosts regionals next Saturday with the girls starting at 12:00 and the boys starting at 12:30.
