Last Monday the middle school track team held a track meet at home, taking first place in both 7th and 8th grade boys.
The 7th grade boys won with 130 points and the 8th grade boys won with 140.5 points.
For 7th grade, Adan Vazqez placed first in the 1600 with a time of 5:43.09.
Camden Bergkamp won the 3200 with a time of 13:20.55.
Quincy Esquibel took first place in both hurdle events, running 17.08 in the 100 meter hurdles and 34.37 in the 200 meter hurdles.
Esquibel also secured a first place medal in triple jump with a jump of 33-8.5.
In the discus event, Lucas Ponce won, throwing 76-10.
Both 7th and 8th grade boys won all three relays.
For the 8th grade, Armando Salcido placed first in the 100 meter dash (11.88), 200 meter dash (25.89), and the 400 meter dash (58.92).
Alex Luce took first in the 800 meters (2:33.05) and the 1600 meters (5:35.77).
Gabriel Cox won in the 3200 with a time of 13:01.05.
Ross Ryder took first place in both hurdle events, running a time of 16.18 in the 100 meter hurdles and a time of 29.29 in the 200 meter hurdles.
He also won the triple jump with a jump of 35-3.5.
Colter Oldham won high jump (5-04), long jump (18-9.5), shot put (48-06), and discus (145-02).
Placing second in the 7th grade were Cooper Groth in the 100 and 200 meter dash, Zael Bermudez in the 1600, and Michael Corrales in long jump and triple jump.
Placing second in the 8th grade were Dru Patterson in the 800, Eric Munson in long jump, Austin Ristema in triple jump, and Grant Mendenhall in discus.
