Softball drops two to HolcombMedia Tech class
The softball team dropped a pair of games at home on senior night last Thursday, 15-4 and 12-5.
In the first game, the Longhorns scored five runs in the second inning and eight in the third to get the win.
Lakin had just six hits, led by Talyn Beltran's two, including a home run.
She also drove in three of Lakin's runs.
In the second game, Lakin led 502 after two innings, but Holcomb scored 10 unanswered runs over the next five innings.
The Broncs pounded out 14 hits, led by Sara Wright with three.
Beltran had the only extra-base hit, a double.
Cadence Brown pitched into the sixth inning, striking out three.
The Broncs fall to 7-10.
