Deb and Mike Olson present the Maggie Olson Memorial Scholarship to seniors Servando Gonzalez and Adrian Arreola. The annual scholarship is for $1,000 ($500 for each of the first two semesters of post-graduate study). 
Applicants submitted letters that detailed their school involvement, offices held, committees served on, award received, church and/or community activities, job history, and plans and goals for post-secondary education. They also submitted reference letters. Additionally, applicants answered these essay questions: "Who is your role model and why? What characteristics make you look up to that person? In turn, how would you like others to look upon your actions and character as a role model?"
Gonzalez will attend Garden City Community College next year. Arreola will attend Kansas State University.
